Chalres Oliveira missed weight by 0.5 pounds (0.2kgs) resulting in his championship being stripped off of him. News went around saying the failed weight cut might affect Oliveira mentally and physically during his fight the next night. He then went on to choke Gaethje out in a very competitive first round where Oliveira was dropped twice. Overcoming all possible hurdles Oliveira proved everyone wrong and displayed why he deserves to be the champion.

Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo

This fight drew a lot of attention because of Conor’s masterful trash talking during the buildup of the fight. After being virtually invincible for 10 years, Jose Aldo’s featherweight reign ended in just 13 seconds when Conor McGregor knocked him out with a left hook. 

Conor McGregor vs Eddie Alvarez

Conor McGregor stepped up a weight class to face the then lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez. He outclassed Alvarez in their bout, flawlessly defeating him. Conor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in 2 different weight divisions simultaneously.

Anderson Silva was known for his showboating in the middle of fights. He would casually dance and duck during fights. But at UFC 162, his vanity finally caused his downfall. Silva had never lost a fight until Chris Weidman knocked Silva out in the middle of his theatrics.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Conor McGregor

This was by far the biggest fight in UFC history, garnering 2.2 million ppv buys. Conor and Khabib had a history and the trash talking made the fans extremely hyped for the fight. Khabib went on to dominate Conor during the fight, submitting him in the fourth round. There was even a big brawl after the fight was over, when Khabib jumped the fence. This was by far the most controversial fight in the UFC.
