Founded in 2012 by Chirag Gupta and Ankur Gupta, the journey began with a simple idea: elevate everyday snacking into something exceptional. What started as a dream to introduce gourmet popcorn to India quickly grew into a movement—driven by flavor innovation, consumer delight, and a vision to lead the modern snacking revolution. Our very first outlet opened in Delhi in 2013, and since then, we’ve expanded across retail, e-commerce, cinemas, and even airlines. Today, we offer over 50 unique snack variants and are proudly present in 10+ countries.

STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Our name, 4700BC, is a tribute to popcorn’s ancient roots. Archaeologists discovered the earliest known evidence of popcorn in Peruvian caves dating back to 4700 BC. That tiny corn kernel, popped over fire centuries ago, sparked what would become one of the world’s favorite snacks. We chose this name to honor that legacy—and to remind ourselves that even the simplest things can transform into something extraordinary.
